Sunwiz Case Study

In late 2014 Snapfrozen was approached by Sunwiz, who is one of the solar industries leading service providers with market analysis, strategic consulting, sales, design and quoting tools. Sunwiz needed to take their business to the next level and was brimming with ideas, especially around a sales and design platform called PVsell that they already had a basic version of. But they lacked the web development experience and skills necessary to implement their vision.In discussion with Snapfrozen’s Managing Director Donovan Craig, it was evident that Snapfrozen could elegantly design a cutting-edge Version 2 sales platform for Sunwiz to meet their needs.

Based on years of high-end web development experience, and using Agile project management methodology, Donovan and his team got to work and delivered a step change in how the solar industry designs and quotes for solar systems.

“With PVsell we built the most advanced solar financial and electricity consumption profile modeling tool for residential and commercial solar systems on the market.” said Donovan Craig, Managing Director of Snapfrozen. “To get a sense of the platform,think of PVsell as a bullet proof, go anywhere all-terrain vehicle that delivers valuable payloads to places no other vehicles have been before. As Sunwiz grew we managed to add extra to their clients through innovative new features and add-ons.”

Not only did Snapfrozen build the PVsell platform and pick up the ongoing maintenance contract, but due to the success of the platform other projects were won with Sunwiz.

These include:

  • Building the subscription manager for Sunwiz’s market intelligence reporting. The
    WHMCS platform includes a client manager, IP device tracking manager, Zero
    accounting software integration and reporting function.
  • Module development and integration of PVsell with OpenSolar which is leading solar
    sales, design, quoting and CRM platform.
  • Collaborating with Sunwiz to benchmark websites including performance tracking, ROI
    and lead generation analysis.
  • Building Sunwiz’s latest website.

From 2014 to the present day the relationship with Sunwiz continues and has now resulted ina new start-up business venture together called Sunfluence, which assists solar installers with automated marketing and agency support services. It is a testament to the hard work,ingenuity and dedication of the team at Snapfrozen and their unwavering commitment to excellence.
