Camp Creative is a week-long Creative Arts Summer School held in the picturesque, vibrant town of Bellingen in NSW at the beginning of the year, offering courses in a wide variety of creative subjects.
It’s a fun learning event for families and individuals where participants mix with others of widely differing interests and ages, in a relaxing and creative atmosphere.
It’s all about imagination, innovation and enjoyment!
Camp Creative offers 73 courses and caters for over 1200 participants so administering such a diverse project can take quite a bit of time and organisation!
Snapfrozen created a full database system and specialised shopping cart, specifically designed for Camp Creative, based on our own SnapCMS open source platform. It encompasses many variables including class sizes and locations; age range and skill level requirement; course fees; and participants’ full enrolment and payment details.
We’ve integrated a secure credit card payment functionality, so that it’s not only easier for participants to book and pay for their classes online but also easier for administrators to track payments and confirm bookings.
Michelle Stockton, co-coordinator for Camp Creative, had never been involved in an upgrade of this magnitude and although initially a little shocked by the quoted cost, was completely satisfied with the end result and says that it is worth every cent.
“They’ve taken a very complex thing and made it easy! It now bubbles along nicely. Donovan from Snapfrozen helped us figure out what we needed, and thought of every little thing. The database is fantastic, it saves us so much time.”
In fact with Snapfrozen’s customised, mobile-friendly database system, it’s now much easier for Camp Creative to administer the whole project all in one place online, from any mobile device!
As part of our email marketing service, we’ve also created customised MailChimp templates tailored to match the site’s theme, design, colours and logo. Now all Camp Creative email campaigns are consistent with the look and feel of their website.
“It’s much easier for people to book online now and they automatically get an email confirming their booking and outlining course materials – I used to have to do all that manually! Tutors are receiving emails about their courses filling up and they feel like they’re part of the camp already.”
Even though the process is more automated and streamlined, Michelle says “It’s still got heart and I wanted to make sure it didn’t lose that. I’m very happy to recommend Snapfrozen, they’ve made our lives so much easier”.
