Resetting WordPress password in WordPress

This is a step by step instruction on how to reset your password for your WordPress if you are already logged in and want to reset it.

1. Start by navigating to the dashboard of your WordPress 

2. On the navigation menu on the left locate users.



3. Once you are in "Users", select the user you want the reset the password for

4. Scroll down until you see "Account Management" 

 

5. Select "Set New Password" and enter a desired password

6. Once you are happy with your password, if the pop-up comes up, check "Confirm use of weak password"

7. To save the changes of your new password, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select "Update Profile"

8. You have now updated your password. Store this somewhere safe like a password manager to prevent security breaches and for easy access.
